He first began his exploration of yoga as a result of ski injuries suffered in Crested Butte, Colorado in 1989 and 1995 at Monarch ski area in Salida, Colorado. If “necessity is the mother of invention” then this statement rings true for Cooke as he created the yogasizr™ as an instrument to get his body back to full strength. Cooke also was an avid rock climber, achieving first ascents in Colorado and climbed with a traditional value of ground up on sight ethics, leading traditional routes as his vision, skill, and guidance would take him. Cooke spent six years living an experimental life on his fifty-acre retreat in the Collegiate Peak Mountains of Salida, CO. between 1995-2001. During this time he built the first straw-bale solar electric hermitage in Chaffee County. It was this experience of simple quiet living that enabled Cooke to study or unlearn his formal education to think creatively for himself. From deep meditation, grace and karma, Cooke was able to receive a vision for his soul's journey through the development of his inventions as a means to inspire and elevate the evolution of consciousness on planet earth at this time. Hence he refers to his system of yoga as 4Dimensional Yoga™. |
